Is reverse osmosis water better than bottled water?
Water produced by a WetterWater.com Reverse Osmosis System is equal or better than bottled water. Reverse osmosis is the preferred method of water filtration for many of the leading bottled water manufactures. Since they use reverse osmosis for bottled water, why don't you use it at home for drinking and cooking?
Every Wetterline™ RO system customer makes a difference by significantly decreasing their purchasing of bottled water. With less plastic bottles being purchased, less plastic bottles are being manufactured and transported around the world.
We can all make a difference by simply reducing our dependence on bottled water. Order your WetterWater.com Reverse Osmosis System today!

How does reverse osmosis compare to other water filtration methods?
Reverse osmosis is the most convenient and effective method of water filtration today. WetterWater.com Reverse Osmosis Systems filter water by forcing it through microscopic 0.0001 micron holes in a semi-permeable membrane. This is the same process used to make bottled water. And, reverse osmosis is also the only technology capable of rinking water by desalinating sea water.
Other water filters in the market that do not implement reverse osmosis filtration are much less effective at removing water contaminants. These water filters can filter to at best 0.5 to 20 microns. Anything finer than these filter's micron rating cannot be filtered out and will be in your drinking water. As a result, water from these other water filters is far less clean and safe compared to reverse osmosis water filtration.

How do Wetterline™ RO systems compare to other RO systems?
►WetterWater.com offers Made in USA Reverse Osmosis Systems with the highest-level water filtration components, including Made in USA filters and membranes. Most competitors are using lower cost foreign-made filters, membranes, and parts with questionable quality and uncertified filtration claims. Foreign-made filter based systems break easily, have a much shorter life-span, and may not be improving the quality of your water!
►Our best-selling reverse osmosis system, the Wetterline™ Home, has been tested and certified to National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) standard 58. This is an international standard for reverse osmosis systems where certified systems have proven they significantly reduce water contaminants. In addition, the materials and components used in the Wetterline™ Home have met the rigorous safety and structural integrity and strength requirements set NSF standard 58. One thing you'll notice about the Wetterline™ Home and our other RO systems is that we use many of the same components in their construction. Every Wetterline™ RO system is built with NSF certified parts right here in Southern California. Most of our competitors are selling RO systems that do not have this expensive certification. They are always quick to mention the RO systems they've assembled have a couple NSF certified parts.
►Our 5-stage RO Systems are optimally configured starting with an industry standard 10" 5-micron polypropylene sediment filter. This is followed a sequence of two industry standard 10" 5-micron carbon-block filters. Since sediment filters are less expensive than carbon block filters, manufactures will cut costs by selling systems with two sediment filters and only one carbon block filter.
Some competitors try to cut costs by assembling RO systems entirely with light-use inline filters. Now, our reverse osmosis systems do use a single inline filter and it serves its light-use purpose perfectly as the final-stage polishing filter. Building an entire RO system with light-use inline filters just doesn't make sense if water quality is your priority.
Other competitors try to increase profits by selling you what initially appears to be a low-cost RO system that uses proprietary water filters. These are known as the "inkjet printers of reverse osmosis systems." Similar to an inkjet printer, these proprietary filters are expensive and under normal conditions need to be replaced as often as every 3 months. We suggest changing the Wetterline™ RO System's industry standard 10" pre-filters every 12 months and the final-stage inline filter every 24 months under normal conditions. The RO membrane can be replaced every 3-5 years.

Do you have a Wetterline™ RO system smaller than 50 Gallons per day?
We know most people do not use 50 gallons of filtered water a day. The "50 gallons per day" is the production rating of the RO membrane in ideal conditions and when not part of a system. The same 50 gallon per day membrane in a Wetterline RO System under the same ideal conditions will produce about 14 gallons of filter water per day. All Wetterline™ RO Systems come with a 4-gallon pressurized water storage tank and it takes 2 to 3 hours to fill this tank with a 50 gallon per day membrane. For 1-8 person homes we believe a RO system fitted with a 50 gallon per day membrane is ideal.

Which RO system is right for me?

What Is Your Water Pressure? Recommended RO System
Standard Pressure* (40-100 psi)
*Most of our customers on city water purchase one of these RO systems.
Wetterline™ Home
Wetterline™ Home Plus

Low Pressure (30-50 psi) Wetterline™ Permeate Pump
No Pressure or Very Low (0-30 psi) Wetterline™ Booster Pump

Can the RO system be installed somewhere besides under the sink?
Wetterline™ RO Systems are commonly installed under the kitchen sink where access to both a cold water line and drain are available. The water storage tank can be installed either vertically or horizontally to save space. You can install our systems in the basement, garage, or anywhere there is cold-water supply and a drain available for the waste water. If you have good water pressure, you can run longer tubing (20-30 ft) from the cold-water supply to the system or from the water storage tank to the faucet. WetterWater.com RO systems come with 5 ft tubing for a standard installation.

Can I install the RO system myself?
Wetterline™ RO Systems are easy to install and we include very detailed step-by-step installation instructions. Most of our customers have successfully installed our systems themselves without any professional help. If you prefer to hire someone for the installation, contact a local plumber out of your phone book and they can install it for you for a small fee. If you would prefer for us to contact and prequalify a plumber local to you, we'd be happy to assist!

What is needed to maintain my Wetterline™ RO system?
Wetterline™ RO Systems come with filters that can process about 5,000 to 6,000 gallons of filtered water. We calculate that if you use 12 gallons of filtered water per day, the filters would last more than one year. Even if you do not use this much water per day, we still encourage you to change the three pre-filters on an annual basis and the post-filter on a bi-annual basis. The RO membrane can last 3-5 years before replacement is needed.

Is it easy to change the filters and RO membrane?
Changing the filters and RO membrane of a Wetterline™ RO System is easy. Using the filter housing wrench that came with your RO system, unscrew the filter housings, change out the filters and re-tighten housing. Replacing the RO membrane is even easier. Just unscrew the RO membrane housing on the right side, pull out the RO membrane and replace it! Maintaining the system yourself saves money and leaves you confident about your drinking water quality.

Do I have to buy replacement filters from WetterWater.com?
We recommend that you buy replacement filters and membranes through WetterWater.com. We offer only the highest-level, Made in USA, drinking water filters and Made in USA membranes with the highest level of contaminant reduction.
Wetterline™ RO Systems use industry-standard 10" filters which "similar filters" can be purchased at thousands of businesses both locally and online. These "similar filters" do not perform up to WetterWater.com original specifications but will work in a Wetterline™ RO system.

If I place an order today for a Wetterline™ RO system, when will it ship?
Almost all WetterWater.com orders are shipped within one business day, most ship same day. Depending on your location, you'll receive the shipment in 1-6 business days by UPS ground service. Faster UPS service and international shipping are also available.
